This is the outdoor amphitheatre. The whole campus has some nice open space. It was amazing to see how much the campus has grown. There was also a lot of skateable terrain (hear that Darlene)?

Stanislaus State University

Today I drove around Turlock a little bit on my way to pick up a few things at the store. I stopped at California State University, Stanislaus. which is our local university. The photo is of the reflecting pond which graces the entrance.
Here's another shot of Tyson. He's thinking I'm going to give him a treat. Poor doggy.
This is our dog Tyson. He's a Rottweiler. At one time he weighed 160 lbs. We have him on a diet now so hopefully he's losing weight. He is really a big puppy. But most people don't know that.

Home

Here's a photo of our house in Turlock. That's an orange tree in the foreground. There is another tree (out of the photo) next to it. These two trees produce some of the sweetest oranges I've ever tasted. You don't see many fruit on the tree in the photo. That's because some scrounges came by and picked a bunch. And they weren't even ripe yet! It's too bad that our dog Tyson was tied up at the time or they would've never even got out of the car.

chilling at home

Surf conditions are good today, but I've got errands to run and things to do around the house so I'm going to wait until tomorrow. Unfortunately the winds are going to switch to the south, but south winds and a late afternoon low tide means a check under the bridge. Hopefully I'll run into some old friends there. Not sure I'm up for the current, but it's at least worth a quick check. No photos yet, but they should be coming soon.

1st post!

Back in California for the holidays until January 4. I'll be posting about surf sessions, trips, weird people and places, and such. The name of the blog is also tentative. When I come up with a snazzier name, I'll let you know. Anyway, this is just to get started.
